So why The Bangbang Cafe?

She says He was having a rough morning so we decided to stay close-ish to home and try a burg that He has been talking about for ages. The photos of the burgers here looked just like the kind of thing required to feed this monstrous hangover.

He says: After demolishing schnitzels and way too many beers the night before my spectacular love, She, decided to drive my sorry hung-over ass over to Bangbang in Surry Hills. Turned out to be a great call.

Tell us about the All Star Burger?

He says: Cheezus this was good! A terrific wagyu patty mingled with smoked cheddar, lettuce, tomato, added bacon and a mind blowingly good Bangbang sauce. My only complaint would be the bun had a touch of the ‘Sunday stales’ but that’s a minor quibble.  Seriously that sauce was truly banging (yeah I did it, soz)!

She saysThis was simple and delicious. Great tender meat with lots of sauce, the whole thing was really tasty.  held together well, the cheese was melted to perfection.  You should try these burgers, they are special.

So then, how did you find the Fried Chicken Burger?

She says: Wow. A very, very nice burger. The fried chicken was key, and there was just enough  of it. It was tender and moist and would have been awesome even by itself. Double cheese, crunchy coleslaw, lettuce and tomato topped with generous lashings of  saucy-mayo goodness. The filling worked perfectly with the crunchy chicken. Very solid work.

He says: Really fucking great hangover tonic this one as well with the stars being the buttermilk chicken and the Sriracha sauce coleslaw. The bun had the same issue but the once again the Bangbang sauce smashed it out of the park.

Now, what about the sides?

She says: The chips were perfectly suitable, nothing special but just right. Macca’s style with lots of salt. The milkshake was the only let down of this whole meal. I am not sure if it was on the menu. Because of his fairly average feels, He just ordered it (said like it was his dying wish) so perhaps the waitress just whipped it up to try and cheer him up. Anyway had a bit of the hot-chocolate-powder-mixed-with-milk vibe that my ma used to try and sneak past us as kid. No mum, milkshakes have lots and lots of ice cream and are made in a blender!

He says: Not much by way of the sides but the fries served with the burger (great value for money here) were on point and a force to be reckoned with when doused in aioli. The shake was more of an iced chocolate than a milkshake but the sugar hit still sated my post inebriation thirst.

She says: We had heard (read)  good things since the kitchen had changed (full disclosure, the new chef is the brother of a friend) and we wanted to check it out, even despite the Juicy Lucy fiasco of ’14. Note: we were so hungry that the photos are some of the worst to ever grace the fair pages of this blog. I am sorry, but sometimes it happens when the immediate need for food trumps the future requirement for good pics for the blog.

He says: I didn’t have particularly fond memories of our last visit to Goodtime but a kitchen revamp coupled with a whole lot of hype and some mouth watering food porn floating online in the form of photos of their new burgers had us primed to embrace the chance for redemption. I’m glad we went back.

Tell us about the Good Ol’ Time Burger?

He says: Starving and a touch hungover this little fella couldn’t have arrived at a better time. A patty wedged between cheese, tomato, pickles, lettuce, chutney and mayo that instantly put a smile back on my face. The patty was a little overcooked for my liking but this is a minor gripe and any burger that arrives with a mac & cheese ball plunged into it’s pretty head immediately has the keys to my heart.

She says: This was a pretty solid burger.  Not a game changer like its chicken brother but good fresh ingredients, put together well with great proportions.

So then, how did you find the Wingman Burger?

She says: This was my highlight, juicy fried chicken, good crisp slaw, nice proportions – so not so much chicken you sometimes forget you are eating a burger. great sauce to everything else ratio, good soft, slightly sweet bun. And bacon. Very, very nice!

He says: This along with Radiohead’s new album and QLD state of origin victory will go down in my highlight reel of 2016. Glorious southern fried buttermilk chicken that was sheer fucking magic when married to heavenly melted American cheese, kale slaw, ‘porky pig’ bacon and a whole lot of sauce. In the upper echelon of Sydney’s finest chicken burgers and cheers for that cheeky little chicken wing skewered on top chef!

And what about the sides? 

She says: By the time I got to the sides I was already so full, but there is nothing that can stop me when it comes to a mac and cheese ball. Great, cheesy and salty (which can sometimes be a problem) and served with the same mustardy delicious sauce as the chicken burg. And the parmesan fries were a good little goer. We ordered too much so the sides are somewhat tinged with guilt for me but I am not going to lie, I would do it all again!

He says: The combo of G.T.B. Special Sauce with Mac & Cheese balls were the little balls of cheesy love that kept on giving. The fries were good enough but had a lack of the promised truffle, rosemary and parmesan.

So why D’munchies?

She says:  This is local to us, and seemed like a cute idea. When we heard on the internet that they would be serving deep-fried, ravioli nachos and our eyeballs changed to thumbs up signs and we hightailed it over there.
He says:
Sydney’s first ‘stoner café’ as a concept would have tempted me to travel as far out into the suburbs as need be. The fact that this place opened close to the top of our street had us headed there pumped and suitably famished in their first week of business.

Tell us about the Dutch Oven Burger?

He says:  Very similar in style to the type burger you’d order in a nice hotel via room service in the 90’s. The patty needed salt though and the bun, although a better brioche than I’ve had of late, was literally dripping in oil. Tasty initially but lacking a diversity in flavours and far too rich in the long run.

She saysI disagree with His salt point, I think there was definitely enough. This burger had heaps of flavour, heaps of sauce and heaps of oil. I was a fan but we both did live to regret it. It was so buttery and rich that about half an hour after we gutsed these burgers, they knocked us for 6 and we were forced to go home and watch movies all day. The quintessential stoner past time (apart from the obvious)!

So then, how did you find the J-Rizzler Chicken Burger?

He says: The chicken seemed to be fried for too long as the batter had fallen off the chicken itself. Definitely had a good crunch to it though and the whole burger would have improved tenfold with about triple the amount of (Cheetohs cheese) sauce as I couldn’t taste any of it. The inclusion of a, also slightly overcooked, hash brown did win me over though.

She says: Wow – that was some crunchy chicken. Dare I say, it was too crunchy? A whole side of my bit was just dry, crunchy batter. The other side, with a better chicken to batter ratio was good though. The hashbrown scored some points and with the cheese sauce this burger also played a massive role in our taking in an afternoon movie marathon.

Now, what about the sides?

She says: Hrmmmm curry cheese fries sounded interesting and tasted – well – interesting? The cheese wasn’t melted which always makes me sad and the curry sauce had this strange tang to it. Eating them was a bit like watching car-crash television, I couldn’t stop consuming it but I didn’t like it. The chips by themselves were real winners though. I really liked these fries – they were the reconstituted potato style and tasted like the salt was actually IN the chip rather than just on it. Delicious!

He says: The chips themselves were crunchy and had a great batter to them. The curry cheese chips didn’t really do it for me. The idea is sound but I think they might need to do a little work on the curry sauce itself as a perfect marriage with cheese and chips it does not form.

So why Betty’s Burgers and Concrete Co?

He says: The original Betty’s Burgers in Noosa has been a mainstay on numerous best of lists I’ve encountered whilst scouring the internet for delicious burger love. Noticing they now had another restaurant in Surfers Paradise and the fact that the gorgeous She and I were to holiday up near the border brought us here with matching excitement, expectation and hunger.

She says: What He neglects to mention is that this Betty’s sits in a mall with the most audacious name I have head outside of Las Vegas, the “Chevron Renaissance”. The vibe of the place is somewhere between a new Hemmes joint and a fancy fast food restaurant. I am not sure if I love or hate being inside – it’s got that film set quality, nothing seems real and its all a bit repeatable. The burgers make up for it though – big time. Plus I was pretty hungry so maybe it was my bad food mood making me feel so meh.

Tell us about the Betty’s Classic with Bacon Burger?

He says: We’ve been on a roll lately and this one continued what’s beginning to feel like a golden age for burgers. A simple and delicious American Diner styled burger with a near perfect Angus beef patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese and a wonderful special sauce. Adding bacon should be mandatory and my only qualm would be the size (I could probably have inhaled two of these in quick succession).

She saysOur last Queensland experience was great for the company (His folks) but lacking on the burger side of things. This time the company was still terrific (again, His folks) but the burgers had upped their game. This burger was a great, trashy, Mary’s style burger. Soft, slightly sweet bun and good meat, everything was spot on. He wasn’t super happy with the size, and I can see how you could be disappointed, it was pretty small, but with chips, it was good for me.

So then, how did you find the Crispy Chicken with Bacon Burger?

She says: Again – this burger really delivered. It was simple, trashy and great. The crispy friend chicken resembled KFC on the outside because of the herbs and spices in the crunchy batter but was super tender and nowhere near as oily/salty as KFC on the inside (read: it was ‘effing better/great than the Colonel). The cheese, tomato, lettuce, bacon and special sauce were all fresh and perfectly balanced to make a killer burg.

He says: On par with its beefy counterpart. Like a fancy KFC burger and the special sauce shined again. The chicken itself seemed like it was breaded and managed to be juicy and crispy whilst providing suitable spice and flavour from the batter.

Now, what about the sides?

She says: The chips were your average shoestring fries, but they really suited to rich trashy burger, so no complaints here (good salt, nice accompanying sauces). The milkshake was pretty damn fine – you can see from the picture that it was so thick it held the straw upright (it sat like that for a good few minutes).

He says: The fries did their job and were raised to the next level when smothered in dipping sauces. The thickshake was as good as any in the land (and refreshingly was a thick enough to warrant the name). I am still haunted by our lame decision to not order a concrete as they looked they were banging good as well.

He says: Full disclosure – a friend is involved in the establishment of this new bar on Cleveland street. However the fact that the kitchen is responsible for the same burgers as those found at Raven’s Eye, Henrietta Supper Club and the Neighbourhood in Bondi resulted in my patronage not at all being based on nepotism.

She says: This is the new bar where Millennium Pizza used to be (they still do pizza). It’s still a bit of a weird space – half of it feels like a trendy new small hole in the wall and the other half feels like a hotel lobby bar. They have board games though. And keep an eye out for the super interesting guest book.

Tell us about the Dodger Burger?

He says:  A glorious new star in the bourgeoning burger wars of Sydney. Arguably the best bun I’ve had all year houses a sublime patty, American cheese, tomato, iceberg lettuce, pickles, onions and a secret sauce that would fuck with the best of them. This little fella is allegedly inspired by In n Out burger and we accordingly added bacon (you should too!).

She says I didn’t have super high expectations of the burgers at The New Brittania because to be honest I hadn’t heard anything on the nerd about it and usually if there is a good burger, the Fatties (see Fatties Burger Appreciation Society of FB) will have sniffed it out way before we get to it. But, when this came out and I saw it in its beauty, I knew we were in for a good burg. It was jaw droppingly good. Really good bun, rich and buttery without being to heavy, great balance between all the ingredients – fresh crunchy salad with high quality meat patty, and bacon that added that extra punch. The only drawback is that it wasn’t huge – but I probably would have made myself sick if it was.

So then, how did you find the Dirty Bird Burger?

She says: I didn’t quite understand from my first bite how awesome this burger was going to be. I wasn’t expecting the slight blue cheese tang (note to self: read the menu) but as soon as I got my head around it, this burger was poetry. The blue cheese is ever so slight and rather than adding a touch of mouldy foot, it gives depth, richness (and salt) to the mix. With crispy fried chicken, bacon cheese and that same rich buttery bun and this burger shot to the top of my ‘burgers I dream about just before lunch time, bed time and breakfast’ list.

He says: On par if not better than its beef brethren. The fried chicken goodness melted in my mouth and, although I’m not normally a fan of it on burgers, the blue cheese lifted the whole thing to another level. Outstanding.

Now, what about the sides?

She says: The chips with curry salt were next level – we ordered chips by themselves to start (because we are ridiculous and who doesn’t love a hot chip entree) but they also came with the burger. There was a pretty big difference between the crunch of the two. Both were really good but the second batch were far superior crunch wise. The mac and cheese was a looker no doubt but not super flavourful, it was kind of the battler of this meal – but that would be easy, all the other foodstuffs were like the snooty older sister who will always do everything a bit better than you can.

He says: The fries were simple but delicious and lifted by the curry spiced salt (and highly recommended addition of aioli as a dipping sauce). The mac n cheese was solid but lacked a little flavour and either needed salt, sharper cheese or both.

So why Chicken and Sons?

He says: We’d been tossing up checking them out over at their Chatswood home so when they instigated a pop up in an inner west pub we really had no excuses. Was also a fan of the burgers at the Local Taphouse back in the day and I understand they are borne of the same hands.

She says:  Honestly, His burger obsession is getting worse. He now has a hundred entry strong list of burgers we need to try across the country. This was on that list. Also – why not spend your Saturday hanging out at a dodgy old pub on Paramatta Rd. Seriously though, the main pub is pretty old fashioned. It smelled mostly like cricket and TAB. Lucky they have a nice little beer garden our the back.

Tell us about the Angus Beef Burger?

He says: A tidy burger featuring a flat iron and short rib pattie accompanied by American cheese, pickles, onion, tomato, lettuce and secret sauce (and of course we added bacon). Pattie and secret sauce were on point but I wasn’t a massive fan of the bun (too doughy) and there was way too much Spanish onion. The groundwork is there for a future classic with a bit of tinkering.

She saysI have said it before and I will say it again, Spanish onion has no place on a burger. Unlike Him I didn’t have any objections to the bun but for me the  pattie and the bacon didn’t have a huge amount of flavour. The sauces were great though and for a pub bugrer it was definitely above average.

So then, how did you find the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger?

She says: This was the star burger of the day, crispy fired chicken, fresh and zesty coleslaw, lashings of sauce – all very good. The fried chicken on its own did have a hint of that old-oil-fair-ground-food taste but in the burger it was a dream. I really liked this one. He got all the pickles though. More pickles would have been nice but I wasn’t distraught at the lack of them.

He says: With a name like Chicken and Sons you’d imagine the chicken burger would be their forte and they didn’t disappoint. The buttermilk chicken itself was fucking outstanding and I’d happily swim in a river of the chipotle aioli involved with this one. One of Sydney’s better chicken burgers.

Now, what about the sides?

He says: Truffles, cheese and fries are three of my favourite things so I nearly lost the plot when I saw they had Truffled Mac ‘n’ Cheesy chips on the menu. The generous serving of fries were cooked golden to perfection but I didn’t sense any truffle action going on and the mac n cheese was ok but nothing to write home about (a touch on the bland side and needed either a sharper cheese or some pepper). On the whole though they deserve full points for ambition and innovation as it was tasty enough in its’ own way.

She says:  The mac and cheese fried were a bit of a pointless smoosh together. The fries by them selves – great, would get them again in a second. But the mac and cheese on top was a bit to try and didn’t really combine with the chips at all, the cheese wasn’t melted and the béchamel was a bit too dry to use to sip the fries into. I think I was expecting a more of a mac and cheese poutine (which sounds amazing if I  do say so my self).

So why Pub Life X Barrio Chino?

She says: This was two of the greats coming together. Any burger fan knows both of these joints spit out some awesome snacks. It would be crazy to have missed it. In saying that – I think it closes in a couple of days so if you want to check it out, get a wriggle on!! The overall verdict should have lost a few points because it took so long for us to get our burgers (but the food was so good.. and we are suckers). We waited for what felt like a really long time and I had to be restrained from stealing food from other tables. By the time they arrived I was panic-hungry (thus the blur in some of the photos).

Tell us about the Cheese Burger?

He says: Close to perfection. Everything I loved about Barrio Chino and Pub Life (and burgers in general) all rolled into one heavenly package. Between the patty, M’Clures pickles, American cheese, soft bun and to die for dirty sauce you have a burger you could pretty much start a religion for. Also massive props for the crunchy bacon add on. This is the swag shit right here.

She saysFirstly can I just point out again that we were RAVENOUS by the time our burgers came. That is why the first picture sucks so heavily. I am the photographer, please accept my apology. But this burger? Poetry! This was a smashing little burger. I second everything He says above. Just a dream burg.

So then, how did you find the Fried Chicken Burger?

He says: Like the cheese burger but replacing the world class patty with fried chicken that as good any I’ve come across. Crunchy on the outside whilst being perfectly moist and juicy on the inside. The green siracha mayo took on champ status as well.

She says: The fried chicken was perfect, the great bun and condiments held it together the chicken version and all balanced really well. This was another really special burger.

Now, what about the sides?

He says: The buttermilk fried chicken nuggets were a very generous serve but I preferred dunking them in the dirty sauce than the provided Gochujo hot sauce. The dirty fries were immense (all fries should be coated in dirty sauce and cheese sauce from here on in)

She says: The fried chicken sauce was straight out weird. Theory is that it might have been off – it was super sour,  vinegary and not nice. Luckily the chicken itself was amazing – crunchy but still really luscious in the middle –  and was fine by itself or as He mentions dunked in the dirty sauce. The fries were full on but they were super moreish and pretty great.

She says: We had some friends in town and one of them was gagging to go to the junction to ‘see if anything had changed’. So we thought why not? In the east, eat a burg. That is our motto. (I used to live in North Bondi and there was a part of me that is cross that this place has popped up since I have left and the rest of me was interested to give it a go having heard many, many good things.)

He says: The photos of these guys on the interwebs always presented one handsome looking burger. There website states that they are going for Modern Americana food with a ‘South of the Dixie Line’ influence.

Tell us about the Cheese Burger?

He says: As suggested this was a beautiful looking burger that housed a patty, two types of cheese, iceberg lettuce, tomato, pickles, aioli and tomato relish. There wasn’t much to fault here but I could have done with the patty being a little rarer and with more salt.

She saysOverall this was a pretty solid burger. The good patty, lots of sauce and delicious bacon put this squarely in the ‘would eat again with pleasure’ box. I wasn’t crazy about the bun but I also think that I have had my heart stolen by the milk bun, and i can never come back from there.

So then, how did you find the Southern Fried Chicken Burger?

She says: Wow – what a strange burger. The salad bits were good and fresh, the avo was creamy (maybe a little over pureed for my specific tastes), and the fried chicken was doused in a very generous amount of Frank’s Hot Sauce.  I really liked the flavours in isolation but the Frank’s on a burger really threw me. I couldn’t get past it and for me it wasn’t something I would eat again. I wished we had ordered one of the other burgs to try, there were so many I liked the look of.

He says: This wasn’t so much my thing. The chicken itself was well battered and juicy but although I’m a massive fan of Frank’s hot sauce on buffalo wings, I found here it gave too much of an overpowering vinegar hit to the entire burger. Again, as I’ve often stated, I feel avocado has absolutely no business being on a burger.

Now, what about the sides?

She says: This is controversial and makes me feel like a traitor to my fast food leanings but man, that coleslaw was the stand out highlight of the meal. It was crispy, fresh and perfectly balanced. The chopped cornichons were fantastic and cut through the oil of the mayonnaise based dressing. The chilli fries were addictive but not necessarily the best I have tried, heavy on the meat with an almost Bolognese taste (wait is that how it is supposed to be?), it was too much for me. The mac and cheese was a winner with great cheese and salt levels (which is rare) but so rich I felt like I needed to do a few laps up and down Curlewis Street (BONDI REFERENCE) to feel human again.

He says: Chilli Cheese fries are always one of those things I like in theory but am continually reassessing my thoughts for as I find the chilli in the most part heavy and overpowering. The ones here did little to change my mind although I’m more than happy to bear some of the blame there. The Mac & Cheese was as good as any I’ve had of late and the coleslaw (not something we’d usually order as a side) which had the genius addition of cornichons was almost my highlight of the meal.

The Standard (Hobart)

So why The Standard?

He says: Faced with a weekend away in stunning Hobart with a special group of friends it would be a tragedy if we didn’t check out what was on offer burger wise. Blog investigations and personal recommendations lead us to this place with the advice that we were in for some cracking burgers.

She says: We eat burgers wherever we go and sometimes it can be a not so positive experience (check out the Wambi Whopper if you dare). I have to admit, underestimated Hobart’ ability to offer up such a cool burger experience. The ads for Tassie are all mountains and nature, cheese and wine, but the Standard is pretty cool and hip. Tucked into a back alley, behind another less-cool milk bar style burger shop (poor guys) and off a main street, you kind of have to seek it out. And the décor is effortlessly cool, the ceiling is covered with paper light-shades and it is more of a burger bar than a restaurant.

Tell us about the Cowboy Burger?

He says: We were going to devour the regular Standard burger but the lovely staff recommended this bad boy. Incredibly flavoursome patty well cooked that was well complimented by tasty bacon, pickles cheese and mayo. The onions were perhaps a little on the sweet side for my taste but this is a wonderful burger and that is a minor gripe.

She saysThis burger wouldn’t be for everyone. The patty is super thin and cooked through. Kind of like the Five Guys patties I tried that time I was in New York There. There is a generous layer of pickles and the cheese and mayo played their part well. It was a very compact burger so if you are looking for heft, this wouldn’t be for you. But I liked it.

So then, how did you find the Los Pollos Hermanos Burger?

He says: The actual fried chicken involved in this was bordering on perfection but the combo of blue cheese and red hot sauce made it incredibly rich and harder to get through. Not sure if I’m a massive fan of blue cheese on a burger so we really only have ourselves to blame. My friend Neil a member of this country’s fried chicken cognoscenti went for another less rich chicken burger (the Reverse Cowgirl) and proclaimed it to be the “best burger he’s had in his life”. Next time I’m having what he had.

She says: I reckon this was just a poor choice on our part. Blue cheese and Frank’s Hot sauce tastes like a spicy sock. I think people should choose one or the other, but not both. The chicken was great in and of itself but next time I too would order the atrociously named ‘Reverse Cowgirl’ (really guys??).

 Now, what about the sides?

She says: More weirdness – the weirdest weird actually – the Chicken Poppers. They were these strange giant chicken nugget type things were filled with what can only be described as chicken extender – very strange, not terrible but I definitely wouldn’t be interested in more than a bite (okay perhaps with a hangover these would work – the same way a oven cooked fish finger seems like a viable choice after a night on the cans). But don’t worry, because the animal fries swooped on in to save the day. They were so so rich, salty and doused in a tangy cheesy sauce. The bacon jam escorted them swiftly acorss the line them to bad/good, wrong/right territory.

He says: The animal fries so fucking good they’re almost worth the heart attack they’d no doubt engineer if you ate them on a regular basis. I’d put them right up there with my personal favourite at Dr. Faustus. The malted oreo shake tasted as good as it sounded. The Chicken Popplers were just plain weird. Like a chicken nugget with strange processed dim sim type chicken meat. Not sure what they were going for with this but it was about the only thing I strongly disagreed with in our brief and otherwise delicious visit.

Nordburger (Adelaide)

So why Nordburger?

She says: Whenever we travel now we always seek out a new burger joint to try. We spent a long time looking and chose Nordburger based on the available burger info online. When we turned up, the actual restaurant seemed pretty new, covered in shiny tiles and with its stylish white, green and teak interior. A bit more Melbourne than Adelaide (no dis).

He says: A jaunt to beautiful Adelaide to see friends would be remiss without a local burger excursion. A little research and a spirited debate brought us to Nordburger. Epic pats on the back all around for ending up at this one.

Tell us about the Nordburger?

He says: One of the best burgers I’ve had in 2015. Everything here was on point. The patty tasted about as excellent as possible to my taste buds, was cooked to perfection and couldn’t have had a better accomplice than the Nord sauce and bun it came housed in. Almost worth a trip to Adelaide just for one of these alone.

She saysThis was a very good burger – I wasn’t as taken with it as him but I admit that it was up there with the best of the year. The patty was thinner than most, more like the Five Guys patties I tried in the States. Good soft bun and crisp salad, heaps of sauce and cheese. Yeah, it was pretty damn good.

So then, how did you find the Chicken Kahuna Burger?

He says: Another cracker here. Delicious fried buttermilk chicken that was taken to the next level by the bacon, cheese, pineapple and Delta sauce (these guys really do their sauces well).

She says: This was nowhere near up to the standard of its beef sister. It was still amazing though  (its just the beef was up there). The same bun, salad and sauce were still awesome and I am a total pineapple convert but the chook was a bit cold (not something I would usually comment on as we do a bit of messing before we actually get to the eating bit and that means things can cool down a bit, but but this was definitely notably cold)and the batter was quite thick and hard.

Now, what about the sides?

She says: I am going to get a new tattoo across my back that reads ‘CRINKLE CUT 4 LYF’ because that is how dedicated I am to this genre of chip. They are definitely up the top of the chip hierarchy for me. The Nordburger chips were no exception to the rule and kicked about a million goals. But if I were to get the crinkle cut tatt, I would then have to also get ‘TATTER TOTTS’ across my knuckles because they too are at the pointy end of the chip-greatness-pyramid. The sauce (which is always His genius addition) was fantastic and went well with the chips, totts and chicken nuggets. The nuggets were good – no complaints but they didn’t makes me quite as happy as my potato-y friends. All of it was washed down perfectly with the Peanut Butter and Jelly Milkshake. Needless to say we left full and happy.

He says: Great sides that pushed me into one epic self induced (and pleasurable) food coma. The Crinkle Cut Royale fries were decadent but sensational (that fries sauce!) and I’d even push it to the next level by adding bacon next time. The Chicken nuggets, although a little heavy on the batter to chicken ratio, were still both crisp and juicy and, like their siblings the tater tots, benefited greatly when drowned in sauce. The Peanut Butter and jelly Milkshake was thick, sweet, well balanced and an essential companion to what was a wonderful meal.
